Persephone

This print is for people who vibe with Persephone’s ability to transform between spring maiden and dark queen. The energy of it can also serve as emotional support in times of transition between grief and joy or during the process of any life changes. Such as the birth of something new or the death of something that marks an end.

This digital art print is inspired by the myth of Persephone, the Greek goddess of spring and queen of the underworld, and is an intuitive interpretation of her essence.
Her story reminds us that transformation is inevitable, as well as the reality that both joy and grief are unavoidable during the cycle of life and death. A rhythm that we must all come to peace with.
In my opinion, this narrative relates closely to the role that fungi and flowers play in the world, which are the two motifs I fused throughout the print. I attempted to capture the intersection of death to birth by exploring what blossoming and rotting or the grave and the womb would simultaneously feel like.
